Autocrat's Thank You

Greetings unto the Populace of Jararvellir, Northshield, and the Knowne World!

I would like to send a hearty thank you out to all of you who made this past weekend's Knowne World Costuming Symposium such an enjoyable and memorable experience. Thank you for sharing your holiday weekend with us! And now for the round of thank you's… (This always gets long and yet is so very necessary!)

Thank you to all the Royals who traveled from near and far to support the arts and sciences. We were happy to host the entire Northshield Royal Family as well as His Royal Majesty of Calontir and Her Royal Majesty of the West.

Thank you to all the wonderful teachers who gave up the opportunity to take classes in order to share their knowledge with others. We were blessed with a wide selection of classes from a variety of time periods and cultures, ensuring that in every class period there were multiple appealing options for every attendee. All told, there were eighty-five hours of classes offered in up to eleven class tracks! Vivant for the teachers!

Thank you to my most excellent staff, whose tireless efforts made this event possible. I would most especially like to thank Marian Elizabeth Wollenschlager, my excellent troll-lady and site liaison. She made it possible to get our wonderful site and then was there from site open to site close to ensure that everything went smoothly, and still found time to rescue attendees in need. Also deserving of high praise is Iohanna Carracci, our class scheduler, and Paul Wickenden of Thanet, our proceedings editor. They took those dozens of classes and organized them to produce a coherent schedule and a most pleasing proceedings handout. Another special thanks to Leona Talbot, my fantastic webmistress who was so patient and prompt to comply with my multitude of updates, changes, and assorted whims. It was a blessing to have such a pleasing, complete and up-to-date resource available to all the attendees from across the Knowne World as they planned for the event. Thanks also to Cassandra Antonelli, Josceline Levesque, Yseult de Cherbourg, House Greyfeather and Heregyth, Elizabeth Wren, Jose Sao Pacien, and Reinholdt von Trollenhagen who provided instrumental support throughout the event. Thanks also to the many, many folks who stepped in to work at troll, sat a shift as a royalty guard, or otherwise made themselves useful wherever needed. It is often the unsung multitude of hands who make the difference in an event such as this, and you all have my thanks.

Once again, thank you to all who attended or otherwise participated in the Known World Costuming Symposium. I look forward to seeing you at the next one!

Yours in Stitching Service~
